You deserve
With intentional steps, you can create space for balance and your wellness while still prioritising your fertility journey.
The IVF experience from a treatment perspective can feel very matter of fact. Clinics are often heavily focused on their results, variables such as age, your diagnosis and how it affects the science. Personally, you’ll have one goal… to have a Family. This journey of infertility can take a toll on you so it’s important to find balance and compassion for yourself as you go through the motions.
Whilst everyone else around you is focused on the results we are here to put the focus on your well-being. Making sure that by the time you have completed this journey you can still recognise yourself as a person, both mentally and physically strong for the next chapter.
“I am riddled with anxiety and second guessing every twinge. Constant pit in my stomach. Hardly sleeping… what can I do to calm myself?”
“I often left my doctor’s office feeling like I missed asking something important. In my second cycle, I started preparing my questions before the appointments, and I found it so helpful.”
“Everyone says ‘Just relax’, or ‘trust your gut’ but how do I know when anxiety is creeping in and when something is actually going wrong?”
I started my Journey 10 years ago
The Story
Hi, I’m Jade and my IVF journey began around a decade ago. If I’m totally honest it’s been a real mix of good and bad.
When I think back over the past 10 years I’m reminded of the incredible advancements the industry has made. But amidst the progress, I’ve also seen how the emotional and mental toll of IVF can often be overlooked.
I thought I was prepared for the physical challenges, the financial strain, and the impact it might have on my relationships. But what I didn’t anticipate was the emotional rollercoaster that came with it. The highs of hope and excitement, followed by the lows of disappointment and anxiety. The constant wondering if it would ever work, and the pressure to do everything “right” to make it happen.
I know I’m not the only one with that experience so I’m on a mission to help make it easier to manage. I had thought about it for years but life always got in the way. Last year, after going through an IVF cycle that sadly resulted in a miscarriage, I decided to stop thinking about it and make a start. I felt exhausted but knew It was time to fill the gap, not just for me but for others too.
IVF Self Care is something special that I wish I had to help guide me from the very start of my journey. A space that really considers the mental journey along with the physical one. Access to all the necessary information, real stories and helpful resources in one place.
I really hope you’ll join me on this journey to make the IVF experience a better one!
